TERENA says thanks for community's condolences


The TERENA Secretariat staff want to thank everyone who sent messages of condolence via email or online after the sad passing away of former TERENA Secretary General Karel Vietsch on 23 February 2014. An overwhelming number of heart-warming messages were received and will be passed on to Karel's family in the form of a keepsake booklet.

Speaking on behalf of the TERENA Secretariat staff, Acting Secretary General Valentino Cavalli said, "I would like to express my gratitude for all the condolences that we have received from inside and outside the research and education networking community, which show how deeply appreciated Karel was by many. We will make sure that all condolences reach Karel's family. He will remain in our memories."
