TNC2014 keynote speakers confirmed and schedule online


The keynote speakers and other presentations for the 2014 TERENA Networking Conference (TNC2014) are now confirmed and the schedule is online. The conference will be held in Dublin, Ireland, from 19-22 May, hosted by HEAnet, the Irish national research and education networking organisation.

The keynote speakers will address hot topics in the research and education community, and will explore possible scenarios for the (near) future. Barend Mons will talk about big data and informatics; Stephen Farrell will report IETF’s response to pervasive monitoring; Lord David Puttnam will share his ideas about 'Digital Citizens of Tomorrow'; and Martyn Dade-Robertson will present hidden dimensions of the web in striking artworks.

Under the conference theme 'Networking with the World', a range of other topics will be discussed at TNC2014, including cloud computing, future education models, advanced networking, federation and middleware.

Discount for early birds

Participants who register before 24 February will profit from an early-bird discount, with a registration fee of € 550. After that date and until 9 May, online registration will continue at a cost of € 650.
