Dr. Warren Matthews is a research scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. After obtaining his PhD in High Energy Physics with research conducted at the OPAL experiment at CERN, he joined the Computing Services division at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). He also spent 6 months at JANET, the UK national research network, and a year in South Dakota at the Deep Underground Science and Engineering Lab (now Sanford Underground Research Facility). Warren's research interests cover advanced networking, network performance, and network applications.
