Experiences with MPTCP in an intercontinental multipathed OpenFlow network

We present our experiences with multipath TCP (MPTCP) in an intercontinental multipathed OpenFlow testbed. We believe that multipathing will become an important network concept in the next few years. During 2012 we tested MPTCP in a 10 Gbit/s OpenFlow testbed between CERN, NetherLight/SURFnet and StarLight/iCAIR. demonstration were given at GLIF in Chicago and SC12 in Salt Lake City. We we able to reach around 14 Gbit/s over two 10GE paths. We will also present our latest results of this year.
