By Train

Maastricht has two railway stations: Central and "Randwyck". The train station for the TNC2013 is Maastricht Randwyck.

From Central, you can walk into the city centre. Many hotels are located within walking distance of this station. "Randwyck" is at just 250 metres from the congress centre MECC Maastricht.

Maastricht-Amsterdam (Schiphol)

From Schiphol, you can take the direct train to Sittard, changing there for the all-station train to Maastricht Randwyck.

Important: after you change trains in Utrecht, make sure you take a seat all the way up front! The train will be split at the last stop before Maastricht (station “Sittard”); the first half of the train continues to Maastricht, the last part goes to the city of Heerlen and you don’t want to end up in the wrong town.

Eurostar

From London St. Pancras you can book a direct train to Brussels via Eurostar . This journey takes 3 hours. In Brussels South ( Brussels Midi) you need to change trains to Maastricht. You can book a ticket via www.nshispeed.nl . Total travel time is about 4 hours.

Thalys

From Paris you can travel to Maastricht by train in less than 3 hours (changing trains in Brussels or Liege/Luik). Information and reservations can be made at Thalys and NS Hispeed.

By Car

Maastricht is located on the E25 junction on the A2 motorway (Amsterdam-Brussels) and the A79 motorway (Liege-Aachen/Cologne) with good links to other European motorways. The conference centre is located directly on the E25/A2. Take the Randwyck/MECC/AZM turnoff and follow signs for MECC or MECC Parking. You can park your car at parking P4 or parking garage P5. You can buy a parking ticket in the central hall from the congress centre. A ticket costs € 9,50 per day.

By Taxi

Brull offers a shared airport shuttle for €36 (euro) per person. This means that they might have to drop off people at different addresses once you arrive in Maastricht. The good thing is that you can pay with cash or credit card upon departure and that this option is also open if you travel by yourself. They give a 25% discount for the 3rd person in the group, so you can split the costs and all pay less than €36 euro if you travel with more people. Make sure you tell them how much luggage you have.
